Comments about EZ-Glide Insulated Roman Shade, White:
I bought the green shades for my 1 1/2 year old daughter's bedroom windows. The color looks nice against her purple walls. I priced measure black out roman shades and they were about $60 more expensive for each so I decided to go with these shades since the width matched. These shades are essentially attached to a roller blind which was a turn-off at first, but actually isn't a big deal. You can't see the roller blind, and the fabric keeps it from being able to fling up too fast and violently. If you try to put it up fast, it might go up a little crooked. This drove me crazy at first, but after putting up a valance and the shade goes behind the valance, I don't see it anymore. You can straighten it just by pulling it down and putting it up slower and more central. The black out is pretty good. I can see a little light at the seams but there is no thing as true blackout. You can also see the sun at either side, more so at the bubble if your windows are shorter than the length. I push it into the window to lessen the light. This could be fixed with drapes on either side. It isn't a big deal for me. The room is dark enough, and my daughter sleeps fine. The cordless feature is a must for children's rooms. The fabric is nice too. It's a heavy canvas. I have been using them for about 6 months now and there is no sign of wear.
