We live in WA state where temperatures don't fall much below freezing, but this little heater does a great job for us. Even in our open kitchen/dining and living room area with vaulted ceilings I can raise the temperature from 59 to 65 in an hour. When in an enclosed room (even large) I can't handle having the heater on for more than 30 minutes because the room gets too warm for my liking.
